One month ’til D-Day!

December 13, 2006

It’s only a month from today before I board that Delta jet and head into a world of unfamiliar language, climate and culture! YIKES!

Today I sent away for my visa. I must have a charity worker visa to work in the orphanages, and it required a certain amount of bureaucracy and paperwork to qualify to even send away for a charity worker visa, so it’s kind of a red letter day. You must send your passport to the people who will grant your visa, which in itself makes me nervous. I’m praying nothing gets screwed up.

Still so much left to do!

This is so cool! I can’t wait to read about your adventures in Mother Russia (and photos hopefully). And I love the Otis and Gus pic. Inky and Slinky send regards.
